  1. AmiTCP/IP 4.2 Patch Release Notes

  4.   This is the patch for the AmiTCP/IP Release 4.2 released 25-Jan-95.
  5.   This release contains mainly bug fixes and some performance
  6.   improvements over 4.1.
  7.  
  8.   Bugs fixed include:
  9.  
  10.     * Bootpconfig
  11.     - fixed problems with some static PPP/SLIP configurations
  12.     * AmiTCP/IP
  13.     - problems with buggy QuickNet device drivers are circumvented (see
  14.       file AmiTCP:db/interfaces, new flag NOQUICKIO)
  15.     - fragmented packets are now sent always in correct format
  16.     - faster IP checksum routine is now in use everywhere.
  17.     * a2065.device
  18.     - driver version 2.16 from SANA-II v2.0 archive was buggy, now
  19.       including a newer one (3.00)

  21.   Bugs fixed in release 4.2, unfixed by this patch:

  24.     - Problems with UnPkt and SDK assigns are fixed

  26.   Known bugs:

  28.     * AmiTCP/IP license key file (AmiTCP:Devs/AmiTCP.key) cannot be in a
  29.       packed XFH volume
  30.     * Buggy QuickNet devices can still cause problems
  31.     * Stopnet won't always work with some buggy device drivers (a2065.device)
